OK – I’ll admit it – I had NO INTENTION of doing this one – but got “pushed” into it. The reason I say that is I already did this clown about 2 years ago and didn’t really want to do him again:

But, I’m listening to the ESPN Radio affiliate here in So Cal, when I hear the following ad say stuff along these lines:
“Bobby Ventura has made clients millions on his prime time plays. He has the highest winning percentage since 1995, a DOCUMENTED 88% (HONEST – the ad said this). Bobby’s exclusive knowledge of how money moves has earned him the nickname ‘Primetime Player’ (for the record – is there anything sadder then when some one gives themselves a nickname?). He has tonite’s GUARANTEED winner and you can get it by calling him at 1-800-700-1974. Only ONE man knows if you should take or lay the points and that is Bobby Ventura (so to all capper here – keep this in mind – NONE of you are as smart and knowledgeable as Bobby – and I know how crushed you all must be about this). Call Bobby NOW at 1-800-700-1974.”
Well, you know me – NO WAY I am gonna let some ass clown like this pull what he did – so I called him.
I called his office at 4:37P (once again – ALL times PST since I live in the PST). The woman (she sounded around late 20s/early 30s – and was nice to deal with) who picked it up answered the same way 99% of them do, “Hello, Sports – calling for your free winner?” (No honey – calling to see if you will sleep with me – will you?). I said I was s she asked for my name – and I gave it to her. She then told me to stay by my phone and a rep will call me with me free winner in about 10 minutes.”
About 60 seconds later – the phone rings – and the fun begins.
I pick it up and the guy mentions the name I gave them. He tells me his name is “Bobby Mano” (I will say now – as fast as he said it – I had to ask him for it again – and when reading this – keep in mind – during the ENTIRE conversation – this guy spoke faster then the car that wins the Pole Position @ the Indy 500. What was even funnier is that at times I would try and ask him a question and when I tried at first – he kept right on talking – talking right over me – and basically ignoring what I had to say – because he wasn’t finished with his sales pitch – and about that sales pitch – this guy was smoooooooooooooth and goooooooooood – he has been doing this for some time because he sounded really polished – and the people he does deal with who are “amateurs” can/are very easily sucked into this by him for a LOT of money).
Bobby asks me if I have bet tonite’s game (TB/NYG – MNF). I honestly tell him I haven’t. Bobby then asks me what a “normal” bet is for me. I tell him it depends if I “like or love” the game – but on average about $3-$400. He then asks if I have an offshore account or a local – and I tell him “both.”
Bobby then asks/says to me “I don’t know what you are looking for – free games or to make money (Uh – anyone wanna guess here?)?”
He then tells me something many others have told me – they DON’T handicap games – but rather they play “Information Games.” He tells me they have an office in: New York, Florida, Las Vegas, Chicago and California. He tells me “We are one of the biggest FRANCHISES in the country (Can’t you just see the average person at home – “Let’s see, we can buy ourselves a franchise – should we buy a ‘Subway’ or ‘McDonald’s’ or should we buy a ‘Bobby Ventura’ franchise so we can sell our picks to places where gambling is illegal and people can be thrown in jail?”). Bobby tells me he really wants access to guys like me (and what would that be – suckers – or ones you think are suckers?). Bobby tells me they identify where money is being bet (Excuse me, Bobby – but isn’t that called “line movement”?). He also tells me I can “handicap until the cows come home and I will lose when all is said and done.”
He then repeated how he was looking for guys to “make a score.” He asked me how much I have in my offshore account – asking if it was “a few grand.” I told him it was to play along – not really caring to tell him the real amount. He then said what many others have said – or gone along the same lines – adding he was going to go “4-0 and shut then down” (with FOUR plays?). He then asked if I could move $10,000 to $20,000 on a game (Sure – for you – some guy who 5 minutes ago I never knew – for you – anything – and someone who is working for someone who offered me a free game – and now wants to sell me picks for an outrageous rate – and wait until you see that rate!). He asks if I can do it with my local guy as well as off shore. I tell him I have never bet that much with my local guy – but I am pretty sure I can. Bobby continues to show his arrogance by telling me I’ll “never get to $10-$60,000 without me in the picture,” adding, “Whatever you make is because of me!” (I know – what an arrogant and lying motherf****r!). He continued to pile on the “B.S.” adding, “The only thing I want you to do is pay me. All I want you to do is bring money into the equation” basically saying he didn’t care what I said or thought – only that I had money (and based on all he said – I know he feels this way – he doesn’t give a shit about what people think – only that they have money – that he can take from them).
He told me they normally charge (and hold on to your seats here) $2,000 PER PICK (HONEST) but for first timers they wanted to get them on board so they were only going to charge $200 (to put that in its proper context – that is at least 2 times as much as Wayne Root charges for his picks!). He told me, “We have guys moving 6-figures on our picks,” as if that was supposed to impress me (It didn’t – for I don’t believe a word he said). He then said how, “Our games pay for themselves” (meaning you but their picks – and play them – and win back more money then the picks cost).
He then told me how he signed up 17 guys already today and figured he would probably sign up another “5 or 6 before the game starts” (and how stupid is that – tell me to my face I am nothing special to you – I am only a number – and all you care about is my money – look – I know others feel the same way – but at least they put on a façade about caring about me). He added these guys “know you have to pay some money to make some money.” He then told me how he will put money into my accounts numerous times (with the money he makes me). He told me, “I will take you to whatever level you want” (He is soooo right here – he will take me to the poorhouse – but I doubt he meant that). “I will never ask you how much you bet on a game,” he added, “and you will work with me. I will make you a lot of money in Game 1, then in games 2, 3 and 4 – you will be playing with your book’s money” (I wish I got $1 for every time I heard that – I’d be worth more money then Bill Gates by now). He tells me he can beat the local guy and offshore with no problem.
Now he gets to the cost of these picks. I will warn you all to sit down now.
Bobby tells me I will be paying them PER PICK – and the cost of these picks ranges from (are you people sitting down – you better be): $3,000 to $10,000 PER PICK! I swear he said this. I can hear every jaw dropping of people who just read this – but I warned you – so it’s not my fault. However, Bobby tells me the first pick is “only” a couple hundred – so this way I can make a lot of money on it – and be able to afford the future picks – which will make me a lot of money (Remember how this whole thing started out – an offer of a FREE pick on the MNF game – and know we are taking 4 or 5 figures for a SINGLE pick – say what you will about Wayne Root/Jim Feist/etc. – but none of these guys charge this much per pick – and as little as many people think of them – I’d rather play a Root/Feist pick than something from Ventura).
Bobby tells me how the local guy and offshore better have enough money for me and how he has a game he will give me in 5 minutes (after I pay – of course) that “Can’t Lose!” He adds, “If you play the game correctly (and what other ways are there) you will win” (Duh!). He then shows what kind of a person he is (and by now – I think we know what kind of a person he is) by telling me if I am “only” going to bet $300 to $1,000 on his game (especially this one) I won’t do very well – and then adds if I am going to play that amount, “I don’t want your money” (meaning I am “beneath” him). He told me that “bookmakers will foot your bills” (meaning once I win a lot of money from them – this money will pay for future picks – once again – something I have heard countless times from scum like this clown) adding “they might not have enough money to pay you all your winnings” (I will let the stupidity of that comment speak for itself).
Bobby then did something I hoped he would – give me his “private” number of 1-800-834-3319 (so call away people – just do it from a pay phone so they don’t get your home number and info).
Bobby tried to ask for my credit card so I could pay for the picks – but I wasn’t quite done yet. Recall how the ad said Bobby Ventura hit 88% of his picks since 1995? Well, I did and I needed to know more about this. So I mentioned the 88% and asked if that was for this season or dating back to 1995 – and was it for the NFL or all football. Bobby’s response told me all I needed to know about their service – when he told me they have hit 88% of ALL games SINCE 1995! (For those bad at math – that is 8 out of every 9 picks they have released they have hit – and also keep this in mind – if that is true – and we know it isn’t – but if it is – don’t you think someone would have written about them in some gambling forum or similar and they would have received so much FREE national exposure and publicity they wouldn’t have to pay for ads – but rather would have people calling them on their own – and also – if they really did hit 88% - they’d be so rich they wouldn’t need this service – they would have retired by now – MULTI-millionaires!). Bobby told me that between now and Super Bowl Sunday they would probably only have 7-8 releases – and there was “No way any of them will lose” (once again – I will let that statement speak for itself).
Bobby told me how by the end of the football season my offshore account would be worth “at least 1/4-Mil(lion).” He then told me the reason I should part with the money is for 2 reasons:
The first is I pay him to make me money – and he will. Bobby is there to “protect” my investment. The second reason is Bobby won’t “push” things – they will take the day off if there are no plays that day – they won’t try and force a play (and since he only expects to have 7-8 plays between now and the Super Bowl – he’s gonna be taking a lotttttt of days off – something I really doubt he plans on doing!).
Bobby told me he plans on helping me for the rest of my life (or until I stop paying him – or until this whole scam gets “blown up”). He told me if I play “10 times” my normal play on their games I should for there is “no way the picks will lose.”
I then asked Bobby what happens IF the MNF play should happen to lose. He tells me it won’t. I tell him I know that – but “what if?” He tells me if the pick loses – he will give me the rest of the season for FREE (between us – do we really believe that – I sense he would feed me more excuses not to give me the picks then a 5-year-old caught by his parents with his hand in the cookie jar!). Bobby tells me he will make me the “most amount of money” I have ever made. He adds that the price of the next game from them won’t be $200 – but a lot more – but not to worry – since I will have won a lot of money on today’s game (meaning the next pick is paid for by the book that I won the bet with).
Bobby once again asks me for my credit card number. I have had enough of him – and decide to LOWER THE BOOM on him.
I ask Bobby if he has ever heard of this site? I know this will come as a shock to most – but he hasn’t. I then tell him the site address. I tell him we have something here called “posting forums.” I tell him Tuesday morning when he gets to work to check out the NFL Forum for at the site – there is someone who calls services and then busts them when they fail to deliver what they promise – and I am that person. I then tell him, “I’m gonna nail your f*****g (and I used the actual word) ass you lying piece of shit,” and then waited a few seconds to hear his reaction – and when I didn’t get one (but I knew he didn’t hang up for I could still hear the background noise) I hung up at 4:50P. I then left after about 20 seconds – waiting to get a dial tone on the phone – meaning he hung up – and I took the phone off the hook to make sure he couldn’t call back.
As for these guys – they are first class “scum de la scum.” Looking back at what they said – I can see how they get the desperate and hopeless to fall for their “B.S.” and in the process – put these people deeper and deeper into debt and despair. Realize most people aren’t as “wise” as I am to this kind of crap – and they fall for it – hook, line and sinker – for the thought of easy money is attractive. As I said in the beginning – this guy didn’t care “one iota” about me – only my money. He talked all the time – and at a million miles a second, too. I will say he was very slick and good at what he did and falling for what he pitches is very easy to do if you aren’t strong and realize what he is saying is crap!
